Canadian Coalition of Alternative Mental Health Resources (CCAMHR) |
|
This three-year initiative of the National Network for Mental Health (funded by Social Development Canada) was established at a week-long conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario in January 2005. Twenty-five consumer leaders representing many regional and local consumer driven initiatives from across Canada gathered to form this coalition which will formally encourage participation and leadership development and serve as a united voice for mental health consumers in Canada. The vision of this coalition is to ensure that the Canadian society will embrace the dignity, integrity, strength and self-determination of all persons living with mental health issues. Retained as planner/facilitator for the next three-year period to guide the growth and development of this national consumer-driven coalition. Services include planning, facilitation and report writing. |
